Maybe a good way to get to CS3 if you don't have CS7 or higher.

In case anyone is interested.

Be very cautious when buying these 'bargains'. Adobe does not authorize the sale of new-in-box software that is NOT the current version. Let the buyer beware. Call and check for yourself.

As long as it hasn't been registered with Adobe you'll be fine. Bought PS 6 last year and upgraded to CS2 with no problem. YMMV

Scott thanks for the disclaimer. Anything on Ebay needs to be researched, particularly when it appears to be liquidated stuff. I will call their warehouse tomorrow, and see if I can determine their source. You don't have a habit of being wrong about these things, and I suspect these come from a regional or national chain who got stuck with outdated product.

Andrew thanks for your comments, I am not particularly worried about the transaction. There were about 10 positive feedbacks as of this last weekend from recent PS CS2 buyers and the company has over 40k transactions so they have been around a while. The only bad transaction got a 'rapid refund' in the buyers words.

But Scott is right, particularly if Adobe has a problem with resale of old products. Also, feel free to move this post to the General forum if you feel it appropriate.
