Take your best shot! - 06-15-2007, 06:59 PM

Hello TPF. I must say its good to be back online and able to surf the TPF goodness that comes within. I just recently got back from Galveston and took some of those fun underwater throw away cameras. Needless to say I have 2 pics that I am trying to save. Was curious to have you folks take your best shot at it since the computer I have cant run PSE for me, but I hope someone can help me save these 2 shots. Give it your best shot!

As others have done a great job with saving the picture...I thought of destroying it!! Have a look at it yourself...hope you don't get mad at me...just trying to see what could be done with the picture...(converted to bw, added sepia toning and added texture for old effect..)

Hi Thomas,

Here is my attempt. Made two copies of it. Adjusted one for the background the other one for the girl, then masked them togeter in PS. Copied the result to a new layer, then ran noiseware on it and masked that out of the forground so it only applies to the water and the sky and just a tiny bit on the girl's chest and arms.

Guess it would perhaps have helped if I had rememberd to attach the image!!!<bg>

Best regards,

Nice work gang. Thanks for the help. The throw away cameras were great on the beach, just wished they would have been better photos from them. They are great.

Here is my rendering. I basically dup'd the layer and multiplied it back to help bring a little color back. Cloned out a few background subjects.
