Collage Attempt - help please - 06-19-2007, 08:36 PM

Ok, so I promised collages to some clients and it is harder than I thought it would be. Here is one of my first attempts. Any suggestions on what to try or what not to do?

Thanks guys!

You know what I think!

I like the titling better now. Bump up the opacity a bit and I think it's great!

This is speeking from rookie or less status on collages, but the lines are somewhat distracting. Also, I dont get the significance of the hand holding...she's the only face we see...I'm thinking that it will cause questions to be asked for many years to come...

Dang it... I forgot about what I liked! I like the expressions you captured and thought the color depth and composition of color and b/w was great. Sizing of primary images seems very well thought thru, too.

Thanks for replying. I was trying to keep the theme of her bracelet which is also in the hand- holding pic as well as the main pic. Plus that is her b/f's hand she is holding and she really likes that pic so I just thought it would serve a dual purpose. But I can see if they don't workout where it cause some problems in the future

Ya got me there! I have even photoshopped former spouses out of shots for people...lol

As for the theme to work (for me), it would have to be more prominent in each image...and could still work...the only trick that comes immediately to mind is the all-b/w-except-for-the-lone-item deal that wedding photogs made ubiquitous. If you could do something to the bracelet in the hands shot...it might work without the worries. But you need to decide...it's your style.
