CS2 or CS3 with Windows XP 64bit - 06-21-2007, 01:14 PM

Is anyone running a 64-bit OS (XP or Vista) with PS CS2 or CS3? I'm being forced to a 64-bit OS and I'm wondering how Photoshop will work. Any input would be helpful.

I'm running CS3 on a dual opteron machine with 4gb of ram with x64 and it runs just fine. CS2 ran fine also with no speed problems.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'll go ahead and load CS3 and see what happens. I've got an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz with 6GB RAM. I'm not too worried about resources, I'm more worried with program crashes. Thanks again!

I've had CS2 and now CS3 running on a dual core Intel and it runs just fine with no problems. The only problem I had when I first installed XP64 was with the drivers, or lack thereof, for the Spyder 2. It took them about 9 months to get the drivers out and now all is good.

You'll notice a performance increace when batching and doing things while the batch crunches away. Depending on the overall system configuration you may or may not realize additional performance improvements.
