Headshot slides - 06-21-2007, 10:13 PM

So I'm trying to make a set of "slides" that make a head shot go from the outline of the shoulders and the flesh of the face and then with each slide add a facial feature...i.e. the ears, the nose, the hair, the mouth, and the eyes. When I cut out the feature and put it on a new slide it shows a line around the outside area of where I cut it out. The second layer is transparent so I'm not sure where this coming from or how to get rid of it. I tried to feather it and it doesn't make a difference. Here is a photo so you can see what I mean aobut the lines around the eyes after I put the eyes back on the photo with a layer...

Just draw in some eyeglasses...

Just kidding. Use control-J (copy selection to new layer) not CUT selection to new layer. You see, the selection itself is defined by a line, therefore it has a width of one pixel.

Does that make sense?
