help! I don't know what to do! - 06-25-2007, 07:35 PM

I am trying to open .psds from a session a few weeks ago. When I try, I get this message:

This document has been damaged by a disk error. The most likely causes of this error are:
a defective disk drive, a defective disk drive cable, or incorrect peripheral cable termination. Some of the pixels in this doc may be invalid. Open anyway?

I don't know what I can do! I don't want to put another disk in and have it messed up too.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

copy the damaged file to another file.

then do this on the new file.

that's all I know to do....

I wish you the best of luck with this.

Did you try to open anyway ?
Do you have the cards the job was shot on ?
You may be able to recover them with photoresue even if you deleted them.
Always backup right after a job and check the files....
