stacking photos. - 06-29-2007, 07:55 AM

I got interested in stacking a photos and got a copy of photomatix. I only had a few pictures laying around that where close enough to try stacking. First results are promising. Some planning in the shooting steps might make for some cool pictures later down the road. Here's my first attempt (not the last). Originals shot ou of my office window with the little $125 P&S..

PLUS

EQUALS

A few I tried from some pictures I had of transco tower:

Nikon D50, D100 IR, D90, D700 and a box of old lenses. Oh, and a Canon SD790-IS P&S.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging is always fun to play with.

I've read a lot that I can get much better results with raw files rather than the little P&S jpg files so I'll have to start looking for opportunities with my other cameras. Now I wish the little A530 did raw.. Arlon

The finished "Hilton" picture looks almost like an artist's rendering of a new, soon to be built building or complex. Nice stuff...
