HELP! CS3 Upgrade? - 07-01-2007, 08:28 AM

I just started to do my CS3 Upgrade but it looks like it is going to install a full new copy. I really don't want have to try to go back and sort out all my plug-ins and such.

What did the upgrade look like for those of you who have done it?

PS always installs a new copy. It never overwrites the previous version. The upgrade looks for an old copy then installs a totally fresh copy. you have to move your plugins.

You should put all your plug ins and actions in folders separate from any PS files, and after installation then tell PS where to look for them. That way if PS crashes or you have to un-install, your plug ins don't go with it, and they WILL go with it if you un-install.

All up and running. I do keep plug ins in separate folders. Only thing was finding where Pixel Genius and Genian Fractals were. But Spotlight ran them down.
