On the contrary, Safari is the only colorspace-aware browser that I know of. That is why you should always make sure that the images you post to the web are in sRGB, because anything else probably won't be displayed correctly in most people's web browsers.
To Amy's original question, you say that you're working in sRGB, so that eliminates one potential cause of this problem. The other main issue is that Photoshop is using your monitor profile when displaying images, while the web browser isn't. So even when displaying sRGB images, they could look different in the web browser. How different they look will depend on how much effect your monitor profile has on the display; with a well-calibrated monitor the profile shouldn't have too much to do, because the idea is to calibrate the monitor itself to be as accurate as possible before creating the profile.
