It was the student version for 289. and I just ordered yesterday and brown delieverd it today...it went much too smoothly. Did I order the correct version...extended??? I know I wont' use all that knowledge, but at least I have it!!! Please tell me I can open the box!!!!

For editing photo's, there's nothing really to gain by using Extended; I believe it just adds some 3D/video capabilities. So unless you're interested in that you may want to go with CS3 Standard if it's a lot cheaper (I don't know how much difference in pricing there is between the student versions).

I think the Extended version is the only one offered with an academic discount.

C3 Extended I think is only offered for students and non-profit no discount on C3. I ordered one for our church last week and since I do the graphics I get to use it, well I get to use it when it gets here, we have to wait 10 days for them to verify non-profit.

I have extended and you won't be sorry. Same features as standard plus the video stuff.

That $289 that you paid, is that for the upgrade package or full package? (If that is for the full, then I need to order quick!)
