Arrow Crap! Am I in the right place? - 07-12-2007, 10:56 PM

Not sure what heading to ask .....I may start event shooting. I just normally do weddings and seniors. I will probably do ball and rodeo events. I use collages for that (which I am happy about)...But, I would like a place where I don't have to get everyones emails to send them a link to go to. I just want a place that I can upload to and just be able to hand out a card or something to direct the person to the site? Am I asking too much? Is this possible? Surely it is....Is anyone there?

Thanks and welcome to my world!

Exposure manager comes to mind.
If you have a website that accommodates previewing, that should work.
You make up a big set of cards with your contact information, and the website address. You type or write in the event name, and the password.
They go to the site (after a few days - you specify this on the card) enter the password, pick the photos they want, and at EM you set the price, and all you do is cash the check when it comes.

Another thought. Why dont you set up an event page on your site that has links to the Collages.net site that is hosting your shots. Make up a generic card with the link to your site and do like above, place a set of instructions on the back telling them how to get to the photos. Then create the directions with a line that reads "the password is the couples last name". That way they are generic and will work for multiple weddings. That might work and can drive traffic to your site as well.

Ditto on Exposure Manager!

I use both Tom's and Scott's ideas. I direct all traffic to my website then have nice bright button to link them to my Exposure Manager which resembles my original web site.

Thanks! Now, let me ask you this. Is exposure manager easy to use. I was told once that rice krispy treats were easy to make...Took me 4 times. Yeah, I am that bad. Is it something that goes directly to my computer or is it a site?

Thanks!

Well, I could make any customer service or IT person want to decapitate and hang themselves.....Yep, Some people are modest with their skills....I know when I need help. I pite the fool who gets me on the phone or e-mail....That's why I need something simple and easy to screw up but, fix by myself!

Thanks!
