I just got an order back from Mpix of about 35 4x6 color prints on E-Surface paper. Upon close examination, it appears that the edges are somewhat chunky and not smooth and sharp. Now I'll be the first to admit that sharpening is the most challenging part of post-processing for me (I'm working on changing that), but these prints are ridiculous. I'm thinking it might have been their printer, but there's no way to really know for sure. Anyone ever had this type of issue with Mpix? Most other prints that I've ordered in the past have looked great.

We've never had any issues with MPIX. We recently had an issue where I started to suspect it was them and then figured out one of our shooters cameras needs to be serviced. Very odd problem.

Anyway, if you call them, they will be happy to correct any issue that may have occurred on their end. We've had nothing but great experiences with them.

Edit: lol - I should be an MPIX rep. lol!

Thanks, Holly. I have the feeling that the problem lies in my sharpening technique. I just seem to have a hard time with the small prints as opposed to the larger ones, which come out really nice. I'm almost done with Bruce Fraser's book on sharpening and will probably run through this batch of images again.
