Anyone know of a program or action that I can use to prevent clients from "right clicking" and saving images once they are burned on a CD or thumb drive?
Thanks..

What you are asking for at this time is not possible. If I can display the image on my monitor, I can save it at that resolution. You cannot stop me. It's a simple fact that once the pixels are in the frame buffer on the video card, they are vulnerable. Do not believe anyone telling you otherwise.

Hum,, I was thinking that once recorded onto an cd/dvd that you could actually lock the image much like an word document can be locked.
It would be a great concept, nonetheless..

You could give them the photos in an encrypted pdf file. PDF's will show slideshows now, too. The PDF's are crackable, but you have to have a certain level of know how to do it. You can always take a screenshot, but most people don't know how to do that either. You can always watermark the images with your logo.

Look at ProShow Gold. It comes the closest to being impenetratable of anything on the market.

The only problem is, that when displaying the picture, all someone really has to do is use their Print Screen button and then paste the image into a picture editor.

flash maybe?
but, there is nothing that I know of, and theres always "screen capture"
try another approach, contact sheet or using a watermark.

I think most people if thwarted from being able to right click and copy, will give up.
The die hards will find a way through most any program.

Purchased this program at the trade show back in January, use it one time, actually forgot it was on the HD. Just took another look at the features and I think that it will work!!
Thanks Don...........

I have FlipAlbum Pro that gives you the option for image encryption and you can have the cd expire in # of days or at a set date. I thought the album covers were pretty cheesy and a little time consuming to resize images etc. I agree not much you can do about screen prints.

I know photobiz.com has right click encription, but NO web site had the ability to prevent the "Print Screen" function as of yet. But at least it's only at web screen resolution (72 dpi), and would probably look crappy to print. But most people just want a 4 x 6 anyway, so it may be just what they want.
Sad but true. | | | |

As everyone else has said, you can't stop the persistent and knowledgeable people but you can stop or slow the others down.
There are lots of programs out there that use forms of obfuscation to prevent copying and prying but they can all be defeated one way or another. Some are better than others but in the end the end if you don't want it copied, captured, or printed don't put it on the web.
Just Google "web page protection" and you will see plenty of them.
