What type of problem are you seeing? Can you post samples? Is your monitor calibrated?

There's a book titled Skin that tells you EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about skin tones.

I like a filter suite from NIK called "Color Efex Pro." In it are two filters that I use all the time: Brilliance and Warmth, and Contrast Only. Lifesavers.

Have you tried under the enhance menu>adjust color>adjust color for skin tone this usually solves most of my problems? Hope this helps.

Custom white balance on the camera and/or a grey reference card really helps to get skin tones close to right before starting any post.

Chapter 4 in the above-mentioned book describes in detail techniques to adjust skin tone using numbers. This is an excellent book worth paying money for.
