Batch converting NEF to Jpg

This is a discussion on Batch converting NEF to Jpg within the Post Processing Central forums, part of the Photography Information category; Does anyone know if there is someway that I can convert say, 75-125 NEF images into Jpg in a batch ...

Does anyone know if there is someway that I can convert say, 75-125 NEF images into Jpg in a batch process?

I use Photoshop CS-3 (but nearly any version since CS will work).

Write an action that does the open, save-as, then close the file.

Make sure to set the default parameters in Camera RAW as needed.

Use the file->automate->batch to run the action using the override open and save-as commands. Works like a charm.

Is there an option if you do not havePS? I use Nikon view 6... and it takes forever.

Lightroom. Select all the photo's and export to jpg's
