why do I need both?

OK, I'm a member of PPA and they have a special that will be ending soon for the upgrade of CS3 and Lightroom. It looks like a great deal, but if I'm using Bridge to process my RAW files (Nikon Capture NX also) and then final edits in CS2.....what will Lightroom offer me as far as image quality or better workflow?

If you want to make a quick adjustment to, say, the exposure if a raw you're looking at with Bridge, you have to start up ACR; with Lightroom you don't.

If you want to find all images shot with your 85/1.2 at f/1.8, it's a max of five mouse clicks in Lightroom, and then pretty much instantaneous. You might be able to set up a search in Bridge to do it; if so it would take quite a while to search through all your images, and they would need to all be online and on the same hard disk.

Lightroom is far better and is more designed for photogs. It took me awhile to switch over but now that I have my processing is much quicker, alot of things I do in Lightroom and then minor touch ups in CS2
