Do I need to upgrade to full blown PS? - 08-28-2007, 08:05 PM

I currently have PS Elements ... does anyone know specifically what functionality I am missing out on? I don't think that I am currently using all of Elements' functionality, but I am curious what Elements' limiting factors are.

Thanks!

I just downloaded the full trial version.

In 30 days I will have to buy the real deal, though. No way can I go back to elements.

well the acr used in elements is missing a few options from what I've noticed. Like the ability to adjust vignetting and also the color options, and things are in different places within the program itself. I used elements for a while but once I got cs2 my processing became easier and I was able to try more things.

For me the big differences are: No LAB or CMYK or other profiles in Elements. That would severely hamper my ability to edit. Also, Elements didn't give channel functions when I was using it, but that might have changed.

I'm sure there are others, but the limits on color spaces and channels was what forced me into PS.
