How do you COB? - 09-06-2007, 07:00 PM

OK, I hope this grabbed your attention.

What I need help with is Cutting Out Background, get it? COB. I have several product images (some on a black background and some on a white background) that I need to separate from the background. What's the most effecient and accurate way to accomplish this so I get a crisp edge? I don't have a tablet, just a mouse.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't waste your time or money on those "extraction" softwares. They do a half-ass job at best and then you still have to go back into the image to clean up the edges.

I use a combination of techniques I learned from this tutorial..

I'm glad you guys liked it.

I prefer to use a combination of the Pen Tool, Lasso Tool, and Quick Mask depending on the situation.
