Problem with Bridge Preview w/ 5D - 09-09-2007, 11:19 PM

I took two different sessions this weekend with my 20D and my 5D.
For some reason, the RAW files will not preview in Bridge for the 5D files. The 20D files are fine. I can open the 5D in ACR but can't get a preview in Bridge. What the heck is this about? Not good! Hope it is some dumb operator error

Try clearing the cache for the folder containing the 5D files. I think the command is on the Tools menu, look for a cache submenu. If you need more specific instructions I'll look it up when I get home.

That wouldn't do it. I uploaded images from the 5D camera and from the 20D camera to the same directory and it is the 5D images that won't preview. I even tried re-uploading the 5D raw images to a different directory with the same consequences.

What version of Photoshop and ACR are you running. If you can open the files in ACR you should be able to get previews for them, so I'm not sure what could be happening.

CS2 With the latest upgrades. It is specific to the CAMERA tho. Took pictures of a football game with two cameras - 20D is fine, 5D - not. I can OPEN them in bridge, just not preview. Then the next day, I did engagement pictures with the 5D and can't preview them either. Can't imagine what sort of setting there could be on the 5D that is preventing the preview. The only thing I haven't tried is to look on my desk top. This happened once before and when I tried the desktop, it worked. It just makes NO SENSE that the files from one camera would preview and the other won't. Unless maybe it could have something to do with the RAW file size??? as the 5D is bigger than the 20D.
