Just plain goofy if you ask me. It did it on multiple images.

Also, Does anyone know if Lightroom keeps a second copy of your images elsewhere on your hard drive?
That is strange behavior. I tried to reproduce it and couldn't.

I don't think it does. Of course, LR doesn't touch a single pixel of your images. It simply saves changes to an XMP file. Your images remain untouched.

I re-tested this and it is centering the cropped portion on the screen. Crop a small area on the lower left and you'll see it move the image to center the cropped area.

Right. That happened when I tested an image, which is what I would expect since I would want to work on that part of the image.

I'll throw in another vote for Bibble Pro - well worth the cost, as are the very inexpensive "pro" plugins available.

It's just trying to keep your cropped area centered. I thought it was a little strange the first couple times I saw it, but since then I've wondered why other products don't work that way.

No it doesn't, but then again it's never touching the original either. It's just recording the changes you made, and will apply them any time it needs to display or export the image.

The more I use Lightroom, the more I like it. It may become my favorite over C1Pro.
