lifesize collage printing? - 09-18-2007, 12:13 PM

ok im looking into printing a lifesized photo of myself (kind of like a celebrity cut out) using a laser printer (8.5 x 11 sized sheets). does anyone have a recommendation to go about printing this? software that will break apart the photo for me? ive been breaking the peices down in photoshop but this is a bit tedious and the original file size is a bit large. any tips?

I was going to recommend rasterbator, but I see that I was beat to the punch!

Once you get it printed, you could take it to e good frame shop to have it mounted and trimmed.

nice concept but it turns out that rasterbator does not work for the mac : ( its ok i kind of got the hang of things with photoshop. i just know their is a QUIK way of doing this. slow and steady wins the race i guess.... and the laser printer SUCKS ASS at printing the photos large scale. for some reason hair is not its favorite thing to print. so i had to go b/w with my enlargement.

Too bad that service didn't work for you. But hey, that rastorbator is really awesome. I just had to try it out and see what the results would be. It easily converts your photo into a superdupersized halftone. What a neat tool to have available (and it's free)! I'm going to need a lot of paper ... and lots of tape. Thanks for the tip guys.
