Get an image to auto re-size itself when you are copying it into a "box" you have created that is smaller than the original image?

You create an 8x10 template. Within that template you put two boxes sized 3x3. You want to copy different images into each box. Is there a way to automatically resize them to fit the box?

The only way I can think of is to record an action to resize your images to 3x3 and run that action on the images you want to drop into your boxes. To the best of my meager photoshop knowledge, that's as automatic as you're going to get.

If you plan on doing this with a bunch of images. Batch process them into their own folder at 3x3 and work from there.

PM me if you need more info. Other than the studio shoot at Sergio's tomorrow, my time is not committed anywhere else.

If you don't have large number of images to process try:

Making a custom layout in Picture Package (File - Automate - Picture Package)

Edit the page layout to your specifications and save it.

When you click in one of the squares in the layout area you get a dialog looking for what image to put in it. The image comes in sized for the area you made. Click on the other box and your ready to go.
