Photoshop Masters - 09-25-2007, 01:28 AM

I need your help. I've created an action for portraits that I use 100% of the time. It contains a couple different sharpening techniques, along with applying a skin smoothening plug-in with a layer mask so I can mask out areas I don't want them applied. My question is, when it comes to the smoothing out the skin part, how can I create it so I can "brush" on the areas I want to apply that feature to versus masking out all the areas I don't? It would save me a lot of time! Thanks in advance! Maybe I'm just having a brain fart tonight...

Create New layer > Apply your skin smoothing plug in > add layer mask > inverse the layer mask

I inverse layer mask on the mac by making sure the layer mask is selected and doing an apple+I key command..... I guess it would be ctrl+I on a PC. Hope this helps.

Either that or Layer > Layer Mask > Hide All. Make sure the layer is not your background, or you can't apply as mask
