It will do custom folders if you select import into one folder and check put in subfolder and then name that subfolder. On subsequent downloads you can put the new files into that same sub folder.

I get the feeling you are using the defaults and that is not going to do what you want it to do.

THAT'S IT!!!!

It was the "into one folder" thing that I was missing.
I knew it had to be doable.
Thanks!!!!

ok not meaning to steal this thread, but can you turn off the auto import feature? it always comes up when I put a cf card in and I don't like that sometimes I just want to put pics in a folder.

Mike, I believe what you're looking for is in Edit>Preferences>Import..

Uncheck the top box "Show import dialog when memory card is detected." that should do it!!

Lightroom does let you do the importing from a flash card to your system but it is slower than death and I have better things to do than wait for LR to do something that a better designed piece of software can do. After I have the images in their final location I let Lightroom import the catalog where they are and go from there.
I'd be curious how you would use Downloader Pro and Breeze Browser when shooting with multiple bodies and shooters. Even shooters who have Nikon and Camera. Say a wedding with over 2K in images and you want to sort by time shot.

How would you set that up and what would your workflow be. Not processng the raw files but just getting them in a folder and then culling and ranking the photos so you can then go work on the raw conversion of the ones you want to keep.
