Erwin Puts has out an interesting article on sharpening and how it relates to the final product of the work, a print.

He compares several processors and compares them. I found his conclusion hearting and in line with my thinking.

"Computer screen projection is no substitute for a good print."

Give "Raw developers, sharpness and lens quality" a read you may learn something.
