Best Mouse for Photoshop - 10-03-2007, 08:01 AM

I've used Windows for years and have an HP desktop with the original mouse. I am quite agile with the mouse and find it easy to use with PS. Recently I switched to an IMac and find the white oval mouse that comes with the computer difficult to use in PS -- it has the feel of a loose, inexpensive toy mouse.

Question to Mac or former Mac users. Is this a matter of just becoming accustomed to the new Mouse or is there a better mouse to use with the Mac? Not that it matters but I use PS3.

Joe

I have learned to like the 'Mighty Mouse' that came with my Mac Pro. But you might rather switch to a Wacom Tablet with a mouse and a pen.

My experience is that the best PS mouse is a tablet. Once you learn to use it the pen will feel like a fine artists brush and the mouse will feel like a crayon.

If not tablet, get a laser mouse.

I still have my original Wacom Graphire 4X5 ($99.00) on my second computer. It looks like it has been replaced by the Bamboo ($79.00) which doesn't have a mouse and the Bamboo Fun (small $99.00 large $199.00). Since I never use the Wacom mouse that would be OK for me. I saw that they have refurbished Graphire 4X5 for $79.95

I also have an Intuous 4X6 ($199.00) on my main imaging computer. The special programmable express keys make it worth the difference.

Here is the link to the Wacom eStore:http: //direct.wacom.com/stores/5/ You can look at the various models.
