constructing digital frames - 10-05-2007, 11:51 PM

Does anyone know of a few techniques for constructing digital frames for presenting photos? I have constructed one by extending the canvas and then painting in with a black brush using the dissolve blend mode around the edges of the photo I want to frame. It's very simple and looks interesting, but I'm looking for a few other alternatives. One route I have not tried is to create the feel of a tear-out with a digital photo..... Any suggestions?

Thanks, Keefe.
