Adobe Photoshop Cs3 - 10-09-2007, 02:47 PM

I just bought the full version of Adobe Photoshop CS3, not the upgrade version. Is it better to uninstall CS2 and do a fresh install of CS3, or should I just install CS3 over it? Does it matter and what are the considerations? Thanks.

I would suggest uninstalling CS2 first.
On my MBP it left a lot of CS2 files that I didn't need anymore.

You might want to, however, be prepared about your Actions, Filters, and Scripts.

Or just install it to its own directory folder so you have both copies sitting on your computer at once.

Don't forget to de-activate before you un-install!!!

Save that license for another machine or upgrade.

Dont forget to backup your keyboard shortcuts, actions and plugins...

When I installed CS3 I expected it to overwrite CS2 but it didn't. It left the full version of CS2 on my MBP, so I now have full versions of CS2 & CS3 on my machine.
And yes, I plan to uninstall CS2 eventually since it does take up a bid of room on the HD.
