I'm not much on PP (do very little of it). However I like mine mainly because it has some nice one-click actions which simplifies it for me. If you are an expert on X1 you may not find it worth the upgrade. (I really don't know), but I'm just getting into mine and using it more and Photoshop less. Keep in mind that I am horrrible at PP so salt this response down real good LOL.

I have PSP XI and downloaded the demo for X2. I played a little bit with the HDR in X2. It worked well but did not have very many options for customization:

It seemed like the performance of X2 was slow on my outdated PC compared to XI. The charcoal skin is nice but not worth paying for. I havn't played with any of the other features yet. I was hoping to get a LAB color capability but that isn't in yet.

I've used PSP for the last several years until I switched to PS a few months ago. Based upon the features they are touting I don't think I'll upgrade any time soon. This looks to me like an attempt by Corel to generate a big upgrade score rather that providing much new functionality. My guess is that you could reproduce most of the functional goodies (not the GUI changes) using the embedded Python scripting language. I'm guessing that is exactly what they did.
