Randy,

I use both LR and Bridge. I find that it gives me a smoother workflow by letting LR import the images and then point Bridge at their location when I open it.

Essentially I'm using LR for DAM and quick post processing then using Bridge to review the thumbnails and select an image for further work in PS.

To stop the auto import window from coming up, goto Edit, Preferences, Import and uncheck the top box.

Thanks ! I really like LR, but I've gotten so used to using Bridge and CS3, it's going to take me some time to make the transition over to LR ... appreciate the assistance.

Interestingly, there's a post on Lightroom Killer Tips today about color space:

Look for Nov. 2 (in case you read this at a later date!)

FWIW,

I work in 16bit ProPhoto Colorspace and only convert when send to lab, web or customers. Bigger gamut to work with and my Epson R2400 handles it nicely.
