Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

copy one pic and paste (as new layer) on the other. working on the top layer, erase the ouot of focus area, exposing the lower layer.

kinda like this. You might feather or blend the edge between the 2 better than i did....

I think I read a post on here some time ago where there is a specific program to combine photos with varying areas of focus to get a total in focus shot

I forget what the program was called

I believe it's the "Merge" command in Photoshop...Though that may only be applicable for HDR work.
