Need Help Extracting Hair/Body - 11-14-2007, 09:32 AM

Hey I'm trying to make this colored background white w/o making it look like a cutout.
I've tried using the Extract tool but still have some issues with the hair. Any help with
this one would be great. The strands of color between the hair are giving me the most
problems.

Thanks,

Marcus

what about using a layer mask. Maybe a levels adjusment layer and adjust it to where the background is white then just paint her back in?

feathering the selection helps as well... it gets rid of that cardboard/cutout look and should help with the strands of hair. using an off white color might help as well, this will let things blend in a bit more, instead of having that bright background working against you. try it out and post what you get. i would take a stab at it but im a bit busy at the moment.
