CS3 update 10.0.1 on Mac issues... - 11-19-2007, 04:49 PM

Since installing this update on my Mac Pro (still using Tiger) Friday, CS3 crashes on a regular basis!
I NEVER had PS crash before...Never! I was running in 'Rosetta' due to a plug-in, but until this update it never faltered. Ran perfectly!!!
I moved back to normal mode and tested it on another image and so far so good!

Any Mac users had any issues with CS3 since installing this update?

How about CS3 10.0.1 with Leopard?

(I have a copy of Leopard but was waiting to install it until some of my regular apps caught up with it.) That Lightroom update was supposed to bring IT into compliance with Leopard.

It's been working great for me, but I run it in native mode. I left all my PPC plugins behind when I moved to CS3.

Ditto what Scott said. No problems here on my MacPro or MacBook.

No problems either...I was having to run it in Rosetta this week so I could scan from the Epson Scanner since they dont have plugins that are intel compatible yet.

If you say its crashing while running in Rosetta try running it without the said plugin.

That is what I am doing. And so far, so good. (I was running in rosetta because of the Nik Sharpener) Someone on the Adobe Mac Forum says Rosetta severely handicaps the program.

I have wondered if PS being in Rosetta when the update installed could have been a factor???

I am running CS3 on a Power PC mac with 10.5 and have had a few bugs come up on me. when cropping, the crop size will not adjust to the setting that i put in. It will stay with the front image. also in bridge some of my jpegs will open in the RAW dialog box, others will just open straight to photoshop (i have it set to open in raw dialog). Another bug still will not change the color of my brush and stay white. only until i close my file and reopen can i change the color. 3 MAJOR BUGS IF YOU ASK ME! I upgraded to Leopard and CS3 at the same time so I do not know which is causing what. I do not have any Leopard issues as of right now. everything seems to be running smooth on that end so maybe it is just photoshop.
