Technical JPG Question - 11-20-2007, 10:55 PM

Here's the situation:

I take an image on my Canon Rebel XT as a jpg file, send it through photoshop as an sRGB file, save it again as a jpg.

I'm now at work trying to put the CF card into a 40D sending it to a Canon Printer to print it as a jpg. The images don't display on the 40D.

The printer doesnt have an LCD to choose pictures from and I must use the 40D to display the images in order to send them to the printer via the usb cable.

Why isn't this process working?

I think that once you put it through photo shop and save it then your camera will not recognize the file anymore.

I have to ask why this strange work flow to just print? Why not print directly from Photoshop? There you can have full control over the printing and ICC profiles, even if they don't do much good with sRGB and jpegs.

Usually cameras only recognize images from that camera. I have two Nikon D70's and the image shot in one will not display in the other. However the images from my D200's will show up in either camera, but D70 images don't show in the D200's.
