Collage help! - 11-28-2007, 12:02 AM

I've started offering collages with some of our wedding packages. Aside from just doing everything completely manual in Photoshop - is there any free software out there that anyone knows of that might speed up the process. It's a very simple concept collage with a set space between all of the portraits - no overlapping. Also, in Photoshop, is there a way to set up a set amount of space between portraits? Thanks in advance!

nicole, i don't believe you will find any free software that will do what you want, you might, but good luck with it.

in photoshop, it can be quite easy to do - use your rulers, and pull your guides down and then draw your boxes in - with view -snap to guides checked. you should be able to get some evenly spaced openings to pop your pictures into.

Not free but WORTH the price is LumaPix FotoFusion

I've been using them for the past two years and absolutely love it. Easy, super fast, and all automated with one push of a button.

Thank you for the PS help and the website for FotoFusion. I think both will be helpful. OH, and Rob - your collages were GREAT! I think mine are going to be even more simple - but I really like the overall feel of yours. Thanks for posting them!

I made a template for wedding montages/collages. I used this style successfully for a couple of years when I was doing weddings.

Here's link to it in my gallery.

Sonny, Have you ever used them to do a sports type collage??? I see they offer it, and I called them several months ago and they said they were going to get some. It doesn't look like they have any samples yet, but that doesn't mean you can't do it....or does it
