Purse Removal - 11-30-2007, 11:49 AM

Hello,
I have a client that would like a purse removed from a picture. I am not sure that I can do this and have it look good.

I was wondering if anyone has more skills in this and what you would charge to have it removed.

I have attached the image (it's between this one and a second one) she is caring the purse and would like it removed.

Thanks
Pam

I'll give it a try and if it turns out ok, I won't charge (probably get a lot of grief from the pros on this one), simply because I'm still learning how to do things in photoshop.

A quick fix method.
With bigger file, you can do better. This is all just using Clone tool.
Also check other photos from the shoot to see if you have a rear shot of her without the purse and that would make a better clone source than using surrounding elements.
Cheers,
Roger

Thanks Roger,
The other rear shot also has her purse in it. I have tried cloning myself, and it is ok, I was just wondering if there was a pro out there who would be able to do a better job than me.
Thanks!
Pam

It's more like what's her budget! Give me a ball park number. I'm going to see if she likes what I did, if not I'll let her know what others charge for it.
Thanks!

How about this.

Name: Untitled-1.jpg

About 5 minutes of PSCS3.

Removed purse, modified colors, brightness, contrast, and exposure.

That'll be $5000 wing-wangs.

I'd probably quote $50. If she balks, ask her what she thinks would be fair.

Well, I charge $25 for face retouching, and this wasn't much different. i don't charge a lot for prints either so I don't want her to not get any prints...
