Resizing for uploading? - 12-03-2007, 06:03 PM

Hi everyone! Can someone tell me how to get a picture on here? I'd like to upload a picture a day for December, but having trouble getting the picture to upload. I must be doing something wrong. The files are jpg's and range, but around 2.84MB. It may be that my connection is slow...I still have dial - up! :)
Thanks in advance!
Nicole

If you are attempting to attach the file (paper clip), it must be resized to fit within the parameters below. A 2.8Gb file is probably pretty large. You will need to use your photo editing software to resize it and that in turn will lower the file size. Your other option is to host the file somewhere else and use the insert image icon to reference the URL of the hosted image. Good Luck. Let me kow if you have more questions.

Filetype....... Max Filesize ...........Max Width........ Max Height
jpg .............293.0 KB ...............900 px.................... 900 px

In photoshop

open your photo
Image -- resize
dpi 96 or lower
size - make longest size 800

save as --- name the file so you can find it.
quality 10.

If you use a photo that is posted on line somewhere, don't forget to add .jpg to the url when you paste it into the URL box.
