From Elements to Photoshop - 12-16-2007, 08:23 PM

Okay - the time has arrived in my growth as a photographer. I have been using Elements for some time now (currently Ver 5.0) and have been happy with it, but with new equipment, new tasks I wish to take on, it is time for me to move up to Photoshop CS3.

But - - I literally have thousands of images currently residing in the Organizer (what Bridge is to Photoshop.) Does anyone know how I can import those images into Bridge and keep the tags I have already applied?

Thanx -

If you like Organizer, you can continue to use it and use CS3 for editing. I did that for awhile, but am using Bridge now.

I haven't tried yet to import all my old tags into Bridge. But here is one person's solution.

If you try it, let me know if it works. I've been lazy about tagging recently, but I really shouldn't be.

BTW, if my version of Elements handled the latest ACR plug-in, I would probably be sticking with Organizer over bridge. There are some things I like better about Bridge, but overall I think Organizer was easier to use and more convenient for browsing.

Duffy - that's exactly what I needed. Thanx

And yes, I use ACR 4.3 with Elements 5.0.
