Hi all,
I shoot raw but convert the images to JPEG after I bring them in to Bridge CS3. Why? Because I like for my wife to be able to view them without having to install the raw viewer for the raw files and if I want to show them to someone, I can do that.
Here is my dilema: I would like to be able to process the raw files in Bridge (as I do now) and then convert them to JPEG with the processing that I have done in Bridge. I know I can do this through PS but it is a painfully slow process as PS is not the fastest software to read the raw files. Currently I do this in DPP, but it ignores the XMP files from Bridge containing the processing I've done there so the JPEGs don't have any of the WB, exposure corrections, etc. that I have done in Bridge. I also have IMatch which I have used, but it also ignores the XMP. I had a trial of Breeze Browser which is pretty darn fast in opening the CR2 files, but it has expired and I'm not sure if it ignored the XMP files or not. I recently did some shots for a friend of ours in a church with rather nasty lighting so I had to do WB fixes on most of the shots, plus some were underexposed etc. Today I shot a kids show at our church which was also a WB challenge<g> I've got all the photos fixed in Bridge, but the JPEGs are just plain awful<g>
I would welcome any comments on how best to do this process and what software to use. Please note that I'm not talking about creating JPEGs from files I have already processed in PS - I have actions to do that in various forms. This is before I take anything into PS, after I have done the raw processing and only for viewing in-house or to stick on a CD to give to family and friends.

In Bridge - go to tools -> Photoshop -> Image Processor
This will allow you to convert the images from RAW (with edits) to .jpg. You can leave them full size - or reduce the size and quality (I use 9 and 700 max on either side for reducing for web viewing)
I'm sure there are other ways to do what you are looking to do - but this is what I do....

Take a look at Lightroom when you have a chance. | | | |

Best regards, | I usually read my e-mail or catch up on TPF posts while PS works in the background.

Same thing, it also ignored the XMP settings:( After some messing around I found that if I take all the images into ARC I can save them to JPEG or DNG with the mods I've made in Bridge/ACR. Even slower than PS, but it works;)
