To do that, it's more of retouching, and using layers.

For dealing with wrinkles, blemishes, etc., use of the healing brush, spot healing brush, etc. would deal with that.

As to softening skin, one technique is to duplicate the background, apply a Gausssian Blur (20 pixel radius). Then, lower the opacity to 40% and add a black layer mask. Use a soft brush (with the color set to white) to paint over the skin area. By using a black layer mask, and painting with white, you're revealing the blur that was applied just to the skin.

Thanks Charles Appreciate it. Tought some one would have had an action I could play with. Imagenomic has one but it's very expensive (http://www.imagenomic.com/pt.aspx?f=stm). I'll give what you posted a try appreciate it.

I thought that all Nikon shooters used their noise reduction program to help remove wrinkles, etc. ?? Noise Ninja can work, and has brushes to apply and to remove the effect.

That plug-in provides the same effect as the method that I noted above. There are other ways to achieve the same effect (all without paying fo a plug-in). Planet Photoshop has a number of good tutorials, and if you're a NAPP member, you'll have access to a whole mess more of good information.
