Removing EXIF info

This is a discussion on Removing EXIF info within the Post Processing Central forums, part of the Photography Information category; I've heard there is a way to remove EXIF information from a file. Can anyone help me out with instructions? ...

I've heard there is a way to remove EXIF information from a file.

Can anyone help me out with instructions?

If you're using Photoshop, just save the jpeg using Save for Web or Save for Web and Devices (depends on your PS version). Doing so will save the image without the EXIF data.

Why would one want to as it would have your embedded IPTC core data in for ownership and copy right there also if you are adding that and one should.

No reference to the OP intended but if you were using someone else's image then you wouldn't want that kind of data stored in the image
