not enough seperation from the background. more contrast. catch lights in the eyes.

the little branch in lower left is the only thing I don't like

when you say blown out... what can I do to FIX this... this is the second photo that has had the same comment... blown out

Yes it's flat and the white balance appears to be off. On the positive side it has good dof.
If shot in raw it can be corrected in which ever raw processing application you use.
I took the liberty of doing a quick correction in PSCS.

Nikonhobbyman~ while I apriciate the help she is a blonde colored schnauzer (yellow lab color) and you enhancments take her color completely off key.

the colar is a faded hot pink color if that helps you to get a better take on the color of the photo!

The colors you mentioned are what I'm getting on my monitor. Is your monitor calibrated?

Very close, but it is difficult to guess what the true color is without a reference.

th clarity in the second edited photo is perfect, she is still alot lighter on this photo then she is on life...

guess it is hard to know her color if I am asking... I will look at calibrating my screen again, i see bright and vidid colors on everyone else's photos just mine look flat in color in comparison to the others I have seen...


okay..... refresh my memory! how do I calibrate my screen again I have done it once, and I have moved since it was done last time!!! lol
