Portraiture Plug-in - 01-12-2008, 10:24 AM

I'm considering the Portraiture Plug-in, not so much from a capability standpoint but more from the speed standpoint. Curious how many folks use it, their experience and would you recommend it.

THANKS!

I love it, it's saved me a ton of time guessing the best method to do skin smoothing - it's incredibly flexible too.

Take a look at Nik Color Effects 3.0

Best skin softening I've seen yet, and SOOOOOOOOO many more useful tools. The control points actually work!

Just reviewed the NIK website, this is very impressive. Seems that for the 159.00. You'll get more of your money's worth. The Portraiture program works very well, it's very basic. The nice thing I like about is you can run an automated script on all your pics. I'm sure the Min Software would allow this as well. Not sure....

Try this http://www.findingcolor.com/products_action.php. They have examples, they also offer coarses around the nation. Very impressive group. Google Tri Coast and check out thier work. I would love to purchase myself but just can't spare the change. Again, phenominal work. Take care. Also google Photoshop actions, I've found several. If there is something in particular you're looking for PM me. I'll see if I have it. Take Care

Not sure how familiar you are with PS. But I recently purchased a book on PS2 and it came with a tutorial CD and several actions, brushs, etc...Book is about 60.00 from the bookstore .Don't have it in front of me believe it Photoshop Wow not sure if you interested I'll get the name. On this website you can branch off to the Amazon for some great deals. Believe they are giving a 30 credit if you get a credit card. Gee Whiz...But really from what I seen on Tri Coast they are amazing.

Check out atncentral.com for a bunch of free actions. You would be surprised how good some of them are. Nice price as well.

Tell you what, try this out. Here is the link for the Portraiture Plug In, there is a trail version you can try out. You'll be able to fully see how these action work. Very time consuming in the editing. Try it out and let me know how you like it. I'm really just getting into actions myself and they are amazing time savers, especially shooting in RAW. http://www.imagenomic.com/pt.aspx
