Some help please? - 01-13-2008, 08:42 PM

Hi Everyone,
I need some help with post processing, and I am not so sure where to begin. My budget has limited me to Elements 6 and I use a Canon Powershot S5 IS. My question is, do you know of any websites or books that you would recommend me to read to help me make my photos just pop out and wow people? I change a few things before I put a photo on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/africaneze101). I usually mess with the Lighting levels and then I mess a bit with an unsharp mask. I'm sure there is a lot more I can do, but Elements is a bit overwhelming (at least to a new user). Thank you very much, and I appreciate your help and time.
Cheers,
Johan

A couple of things you might want to check out - Photoshop Elements magazine, and Photoshop Elements Killer Tips (video podcats, and it's free). There are also several other video podcasts dedicated to Photoshop Elements that you'd find useful.

johan-i looked at your photos on flickr. i must say, i love how you explore one subject (will roger monument) at different time of day, angle, pov. composition. personnaly, i don't think you need to mess with any more post than what you've been doing. no matter how much post you do, if you start with a bad shot nothing will help. and my friend, you don't have that problem here. my advice is to keep experimenting with your camera instead.
