I have both of these, dont have clue-1 on how to use them except resize and tweak
adjustments, color, contrast ect, ect,
i might be headed out to a book store tonite,
any sugestions for a HOW_TO, for the computer-challanged,
aka-step by step,,raw beginers,

There are a number of free video podcasts available on iTunes that can help. Most are geared towards CS3, but there's a lot of stuff you can learn that you can apply to CS2.

Personally, I'd suggest upgrading to CS3, and subscribe to the following podcasts: PhotoshopUser TV, Photoshop Quick Tips, Photoshop Killer Tips, Photoshop for Digital Photographers and Understanding Adobe Photoshop (remember, all of these are FREE!!!). Additionally, Scott Kelby's 7 Point System for Photoshop CS3 is an excellent book.

Layers Magazine is an online resource that has some good free video tutorials - http://www.layersmagazine.com

Planet PhotoShop is another good resource... http://www.planetphotoshop.com/
