Bridge - PS Batching problem! - 01-24-2008, 11:51 AM

I've got a bunch of RAW images (about 830) that I've processed in ACR.

I've also created actions in PS to convert to sRGB, 8bit, resize and save as .jpg in another location.

The problem is that when I select the RAW images in Bridge and tell it to batch process using the action, somewhere along the line it quits applying the ACR adjustments. I'm guessing it's a memory management issue but I've got 4 gigs in the computer and no other processes running. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a fix?

Hep me, dangit!

Thanks in advance.

Are you using the Image Processor in PS to do this? ... If so, it has the option of converting to sRGB and resizing at the same time applying your settings from ACR.

Nope. But I was going to try that when I got home today.

I haven't used the image processor at all. In fact, I didn't even know it was there till I read about it a few minutes ago. It looks like it does everything I need it to do except selectively processing the raw files. In bridge, I filter out everything below 3 stars (the bad frames) and process everything else. I only looked at it briefly but it doesn't look like the image processor will let me do that. I guess I'll have to either have only the "keepers" in the directory or delete the non-keepers after the processor has run. Correct?

Yeah, Ima goober sometimes. I always manage to find the hard way to do things.

Jase,

You can simply select only the 3 Start images in Bridge, go up to Tools, Photoshop, Image Processor, and only those files you have selected will be processed. You can do a very specific, yet easy selection via Bridge!
