Lightroom saves the changes to your pictures in metafiles...so the pictures are never actually 'changed'...to 'apply' the changes, you must 'export' them to JPG or some other image format.

It's confusing at first, but extremely powerful when you think about the ability to go back and make small changes.

You can also make 'virtual' copies of your photographs to try different post processing concepts and compare them side by side...never worrying that the original file will ever be damaged...

I think to save it as a jpeg you need to change it from 16bit to 8bit I had the same problem when I first got it..

What Tim said -- change them to 8 bit as a last step, and save them as a jpg.

If you do most of the work in lightroom, you can always export to a Jpg after you have those changes made, but if you are doing more advanced photoshop edits, then you will also want to change to 8 bit and save.

Nevermind -- I'll take care of it myself!

I got it for Christmas and haven't had much time to play with it but I did come across some podcast tutorials, you might want to check them out on iTunes.
