No opinions? Must be worse than I thought.

I like the highly colored version best. I seems sort of Van Goughish. The colors pop really well. The subdued version is alright, just not a appealing to me as the colored one. It actually looks like it was painted to me, but take into consideration I am Not an artist/painter.

Thanks Ray, I'm not anything close to an artist, so that's why I really need some help here. I also liked the colored one, but not sure how it appeals to the masses.

The first time I went from the first to the second the second one seemed really boring. When I just looked at it alone, however, I ended up liking that one more because it has kind of a gloomy Scotland feel to it. However, I think the green rope looks kind of out of place.

I like it .....not crazy about the border I think it would look better if the painting look stretched all the way to the edge ...but hey thats just my 2 cents

Thanks for the comments Heather and Matt. I agree about the green rope, but that was the color. Heather, the scene is actually in Ireland, not Scotland. However, they are pretty close with very similar scenery.

Matt, I'm still playing around trying to figure out how to work the background. I was going for a slightly off color white, but I had to close the layers when I started using the art history brush and somehow the colors in the background changed.

Anyway, I really do appreciate the comments.

The first one really appeals to me. I love the vibrant colors. The border doesn't help it any in my opinion. The second has the more lonesome feel to it. I agree with everyone else about the green rope being out of place. I don't think the border is necessary on that one either.

Thanks Dawn. If I can find some time, I may go back and try to do something with the rope and background since that seems to be the biggest drawback.
