How do you like it?
So far, what I have read on line from those that have tried it, is mostly very positive!
What do you think?

I did. And I was an Aperture proponent, until Lightroom matured and was faster in management, especially with externally managed files.
I like the new layout, where everything is on the left, but still missing some stuff from Lightroom that I use the most. Namely the following:
1. Ability to directly edit the original file with an external editor
2. Ability to edit versions with an external editor as JPEG
3. Ability to monitor a folder for an externally managed files and sync the folder content.

So, I'm back to using Lightroom.

Please learn me.
I don't quite understand.

Right now, in either software, I make my adjustments, export the adjusted file as a .psd and open it in photoshop to finish tweaking, save and then resize and save-as from photoshop as a .jpg

What are you doing differently and why?

My work flow is not too different than yours.
I never let either software manage my files, so I store them in a directory on its own and work from there.
However, for my adjustments, since they are just a version of the master, I'd like to save the files as JPG, instead of only TIFF and PSD. The file size is smaller. And I'd like to save different copies on the folder. Now in LR, if I import the folder, I can sync the folder contents to what LR shows.

Did I make sense?

Louis. I use LR much as you describe, but are you saying Aperture 2 won't allow you the choice of adjusting a raw file and then saving it as a jpg? That wouldn't work for me either!!!

You can always export to JPG. But if you import the JPG into your library, you will only be able to edit the file externally as either PSD or TIFf.
