Elements upgrade. - 02-16-2008, 08:37 AM

Adobe, apparently, has an offer to upgrade Elements to CS3 for $299, which is good throuogh the end of this month. I've used Elements 2, 3, and 5 for the past 4+ years and I have always thought that it was all that I needed. However, this is quite an offer and if I am ever to advance to CS, then this is probably the time to do it. My photography is exclusively nature and mostly wildlife. I am strictly a hobbist.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Do it, Bill. I too used Elements, and was frankly quite happy with it. Elements is far more capable than most people realize. But, I upgraded to CS3 a few months ago. I found I already had so many of the basics down, yet the additional capabilities are great. As just one example, the version of Adobe Camera Raw in CS3 has a lot more functionality than in Elements. I find I seldom need more than ACR for many of my sports shots. Getting used to Bridge took awhile, but it has been worth it.

I appreciate your help, Doug. I'm probably going to do it. BTW, do you still use Elements as well as DS3?

where is upgrade? - 02-16-2008, 09:39 PM

Anybody know where to find this upgrade from Elements to CS3 for $299. I just went to the Adobe site and they still have it listed at $549. Could this post be pertaining to the student edition? Thanks - Jim
